Forge lab#
Forge items and draw loot in your browser, and see how the catalogue turns into equipment. The lab runs the game's real forge and loot code on the catalogue shipped with this site. It cannot change any file: it is a place to look, not to edit.
How to read it#
- Forge: a forged item is a blank piece. The forge decides its quality, never its affixes; players add affixes later, by engraving. A higher skill moves the odds towards the rare qualities, and the catalyst adds a skill bonus.
- Loot: a drop is where affixes come from. The dungeon level sets the share of each family: ordinary items have no affix, magic items have some, named items carry a synergy, set items belong to a set.
- Seed: the seed fixes the dice. The same settings and the same seed always give the same item; change it to roll again.
- JSON: under the item, the item as a save file stores it, the affixes it holds exactly as the catalogue defines them, and the recipe when you forged it. Copy an affix to start your own.
- A hundred at once: Forge 100 and Draw 100 count what a hundred rolls give, to see how often an affix drops.
The lab#
What drives each result#
- Forge quality: the weights of
craft.skillTiersincrafting.json, one table per skill step. - Recipes:
crafting.json; the items they make:items.json. - Families of a drop:
lootFamilyTiersinloot.json, one table per level step. - Affixes, their tiers and their weights:
equipment.json. A quality decides how many affix slots an item has. - The catalyst: the first entry of
craftingCatalystsinresources.json.
